Empowering rangatahi through employment, education and community
Te Tupu Rangatahi exists to empower rangatahi to reach their potential. Through hands-on learning, real-world experience and pathways to employment, rangatahi gain the confidence, skills and opportunities to shape the future they want for themselves, their whānau and their communities.
Tupu Rangatahi is designed to be a stepping stone into whatever comes next. The goal isn't simply having a job today, but having the confidence, skills and experience to pursue opportunities tomorrow.
The future is rangatahi and the future possibilities are endless.
THE PROGRAMME
Tupu Rangatahi aims to provide youth with their first work experience, training and pathways to employment.
The programme is designed for rangatahi Māori, Pasifika, Refugee and migrant youth, aged 18–24, who are currently engaged with youth development programmes, early intervention services or community support organisations.
It provides a pathway into employment for young people navigating challenges in a supported, community environment.
